Dear readers,
Recently I had the privilege to go on an adventure with one of my high school teachers and many of my graduating classmates. We went to Europe. It was so amazing.
Going to Normandy, France and seeing the rows upon rows of graves of American's that gave their lives for me, for us to be free, I was brought to my knees with so much gratitude.
Now on the anniversary of 9/11. I am feeling that same gratitude. I am so grateful for all the men and women that sacrifice their lives, time and personal freedom to help protect this land that I love. I've been all over this crazy world and America is the best! It's the land of the free for reals. I can't believe that I was lucky enough to be born here and be raised where I was. It's so much better than I could ever express. I am ever so grateful.
Let's all remember we are blessed to be here, to be alive, and to be free!

College Life... Week 2
Hey Guys!
Coming to college, I have learned so much! I have learned that life is all about making others and YOURSELF happy. And what makes me happy more than anything in the world, is making people smile, allowing people to be themselves around me, faults and all, and volunteering for The Lord.
Coming to college, I have learned so much! I have learned that life is all about making others and YOURSELF happy. And what makes me happy more than anything in the world, is making people smile, allowing people to be themselves around me, faults and all, and volunteering for The Lord.
Let me explain since a) I want to and b) cause this might be a little bit confusing!
So I am going around my college saying hi to everyone, introducing myself, getting my name out there and trying to remember all these people's names which let me tell you is HARD! It's so much harder here than at DHS cause at least in high school you had a higher statistical chance of running into them again! :) But I am enjoying it.
I also get as many people's numbers as possible and I am trying to text at least three a day, but that's a goal I need to still work on. I am also doing homework and trying to live and have fun and not die/get sick but we will see how well I am doing on that in a couple of weeks.
I also am a member of LDSSA - the student association for Institute up here and it is so much fun! We handed out otter-pops the other day so that was awesome! I got to serve the Lord and meet so many people and I wasn't afraid to just go up and make it happen you know? I just stopped people on their way to class, handed them the flyer we were giving out and just was like yep this is me!
Everyone's response to my name is fantastic! I wish you could be here to see it. It's like "really?" What was it?" "Um what?" etc. It's awesome! I'm getting my name out there! My roommates are fantastic too! I just love them. All LDS, strong in the gospel and kind. It's the best. I never want to leave.
So here's to the crap we talk, the boys we stalk, the looks that could kill, the days we stand still. Here's to looking at you guys!
